When you click the Start button, you will see a series of pages. At the top of each page is a word. On the lower part of the page you will see twenty-five words. One of these is the same as the word at the top of the page. Here’s an example of what a page might look like:
Your job is to find the same word in the lower part of the page and click it. Please be as accurate as possible. Some of the color combinations may be very difficult to read. Just make your best guess. If you click the wrong word, the errors will not be counted against you.
Your browser window will be totally black for one second between pages. This is an intentional part of the study; there is nothing wrong with your monitor or computer.
You will start off with three practice pages, and then we will gather data for thirty more pages.
