Evergreen Valley College Application Information

New Students

Complete an Application for Admission and turn it in to the Office of
Admissions and Records (A&R).

Take the Assessment test.

Exemption from the testing may be granted for the following reasons:

	Proof of having an A.A., A.S., B.A., B.S. or
	higher degree (an official transcript is needed).
	
	Completion of college-level English and Math at another
	institution (an official transcript is needed).
	
Attend an Orientation.

Plan your schedule.  You may see a list of classes at 
http://www.evc.edu/

Meet with a counselor.

Register by telephone Student Telephone Assisted Registration
(STAR) for your classes.

Returning Students

You are a returning student if you were not enrolled in the
San Jose/Evergreen Community College District in the previous semester.

In order to register:

Complete an Application for Admission and turn it in to the Office of
Admissions and Records (A&R).

If you are a returning student in clear status, you will receive
a STAR Access date to register for classes when you turn in your
application.

Plan your schedule.  You may see a list of classes at 
http://www.evc.edu/

Meet with a counselor if you:
	Do not know which classes to take;
	Want to take a class requiring a prerequisite;
	Are on probation or dismissal.

Register by telephone Student Telephone Assisted Registration (STAR)
for your classes.
